End of 2010, i was posted into 3/7 class of 2011.
to be honest i was Reallly skeptical at first. I was only close to Aniq in 3/7 sooo i didnt really know if i would fit in properly into that class. I honestly thought i would be a loner in the class, with only aniq and kimhong being my friends hahaha. Half the class were basically strangers to me. I didnt know any of the girls, Only jezreel and Huiyi, back then. It was pretty scary, and I thought the guys were those rough rugged type of dudes who werent really the people i would hang out with, so i really didnt know what to expect entering that class.
First day I vividly remember Irfan approaching me and talking to me, considering he was just as lost/nervous as I was (being completely alienated from the class). I was actually afraid of him.....at first. I couldnt remember what happened during the rest of that semester. only that I sat beside Tsean , with Cheong sitting in front of me. As time passed by, i go closer to Tsean. Everyday, learning something new about him. Till now we still talk and relate to each other which is pretty cool. At this point of time i was still quite alien with my class, only starting to learn the names of everyone. I tried to mix around, with weisheng and junwei,shyam who sat behind me. Friendly dudes.
By mid year, i finally started to settle more comfortably in the class, making friends and becoming closer to other people like charlene and jinghui and ray and even irfan. (So much for being scared of him). It was now easier for me to communicate with them and i was actually pretty happy with 3/7 at that time.
As the year progresses, more friendships begin to form, and i found myself in 6 man boy band. , well sort of. But i dont really like sticking to the status quo . I mix around with other guys and girls in the class, whether its having small talk or going for an outing. The sabah trip at the end of the year strengthen the bond between the guys, jinghui junwei me and weisheng. And i realised how fortunate i was to be in a class full of wonderful people.
2012, 4/7
Year started pretty okay... if i remember correctly. I became closer to people like hopkins, vinod, becky,weibin people whom i thought i would never have related with , honestly speaking. Im glad to have known them. Every other memory is kinda fuzzy. i sat beside ray during the whole year, even though he doesnt speak much, it was still fun having him as a table partner. Especially with yiqing and serena in front of me, always turning around and sharing snacks and what not.
One of my fondest memories of the class was the class chalet MET booked for us in June. Best outing as a class. Made me realise why I loved my class so much. Even though the chalet compound was satisfactory, its about the quality time and the bond between classmates which made me love that outing so much. I really hope we can have another outing like that as a class, once more.
Now, its post o levels. I really hope all of us will keep in touch, because i really wouldnt wanna forget any one of them, 4/7 2012. 9 secondary 4 classes in temasek secondary in 2012, and it was such an honour to be placed in 4/7,3/7.
